An Award-winning Yorkshire-based manufacturing company, Andel has announced that they will be carrying out a range of environmental protection work. Andel will be carrying out this project for a major telecoms provider in order to install a number of leak detection systems.

Andel has secured the contract with Telefonica and this scheme of work will see the company install the leak detection systems at 16 of the telecom provider’s technical sites that are located throughout the UK. The contract has been won by the Yorkshire based manufacturing company for a £200,000 tender will see the company install a range of systems that allow for early action, which can then prevent damage, reduce disruption and limit loss.

The manufacturing company is located in Huddersfield, and the announcement of this new contract win follows anniversary celebrations at the company, who is now in its 25th year of business. This large contract is great news for the company and will no doubt top off year of celebrations. The Commercial Director of the manufacturing business, Mark Harris has said that the company is delighted to have won the new contract with such a well known telecommunications company.

Discussing why they selected the Huddersfield Company, the TEF UK rep Simon Wedd has said that Andel demonstrated their expertise and in depth knowledge in regards to all aspects relating to leak detection and the telecommunications company have expressed their confidence in the manufacturer to deliver on this project.

It is thought that while the new leak detection systems are being installed, all of the 16 sites will remain operational and it is thought that carrying out this work will be beneficial to the telecommunication company as it will help the network to continue to function effectively in the future, with customers able to use their phones while the work is being carried out.
