UK Steel Firm Reports £11m Growth

A UK steel engineering company is celebrating a record year of revenue growth.
Pro Steel Engineering, based in Caldicot in South Wales has declared an impressive £11m increase in revenues.
In the financial year of 2015, the specialist steel firm’s turnover rose from £3.6m to £15m.
The company secured an investment of £360,000 for a new fabrication facility from Santander Corporate & Commercial and has also brought in a host of new services, including the installation of metal decking.
Work at the new 10,000 square foot facility began in February and boasts ultramodern technology that has meant the steel fabrication process has been brought fully in-house which it is hoped will bring costs down and encourage more growth possibilities.
Leading the new fabrication work is a new operations director who intends to employ a further 20 full-time staff members in the next 12 months.
Pro Steel have placed much of their focus on training by spending over £138,000 on developing staff training and have also created a partnership with a South Wales college to develop and train its staff.
Company director Richard Selby said he was delighted with the unprecedented expansion and growth over the last year and puts their success down to their committed staff team.
Meanwhile relationship director of Santander Corporate & Commercial Ashley Charlton said they were thrilled to be supporting the exceptional growth of the firm and that they will be continuing their relationship with the company as they look to continue their growth.
Pro Steel was established just four years ago by Justin Marriott and Mr Selby and has since forged a reputation as a big player in the steel industry and project management.
Among the firms work has been construction of the Olympic Park as well as sub-contractor work with the likes of Balfour Beatty, Costain and William Hare.
