Worldline and Premier Inn Contract Extension

Worldline and Premier Inn Contract Extension

Whitbread has announced that they have agreed to a three-year deal with Worldline. Worldline is a leader in the European market for payment and transactional services. The agreement will allow the continuation of the Business Account Card services that are available at Whitbread’s Premier Inn chain of hotels and restaurants.

The extension of this contract has been valued at £16.7 million. The Premier Inn Worldline Business Account Card is a way of improving transactions for business travelers who are needing to pay for meals and accommodations. The Business Account Card allows for fast and simple cost control for the spending of business travelers. The worldline service allows for employers to input spending limits onto the cards which means that the employer is in complete control of the costs and also has access to a full breakdown of the card usage.

The Worldline Business Account Card is also useful as the complete breakdown of expenditure that the employer has access to means that the employees do not need to worry about retaining, submitting and processing the correct types of receipts. The scheme was first launched over a decade ago and the Business Account Card scheme is now thought to contribute 25% of Premier Inn’s Hotels and restaurants annual revenues.

The end-to-end Business Account Cards made available by Worldline have been designed and built by the company for a vast range of businesses from any sector, that requires business access to hotels and restaurants. The service on offer also includes customer on-boarding, credit, debt management, card production, payment processing and account and customer management as well as transaction processing.

The news of the contract extension is great for premier Inn and Worldline. This service has a number of possibilities for future use and hopefully the two companies will continue to develop the service going forward.
