Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA) stand as an innovator at the very edge of the enterprise. A public company based in Lincolnshire, Illinois, USA, it specialises in the selling and creating of computing printing technologies.

Showcasing partners and solutions that enable businesses to gain a performance edge, the company have unveiled the next generation of enterprise-class handled mobile touch computers.

The new innovation stands as an implementation designed to help retail, manufacturing, and transport and logistics sectors, to empower their front-line workers by delivering unparalleled levels of customer service and satisfaction.

The all new computing solutions: the TC5x and TC7x series, drive superior work performance and customer services that add to Zebra Technologies already impressive, industry leading portfolio of Android-based enterprise class-mobility solutions; that are widely available to customers and to Zebra’s Partner Connect community.

TC5x and TC7x series provide reliable, durable and modern mobile solutions, running on Android OS, the device supports future App development as well as an enhanced Mobility DNA (M-DNA) suite of productivity, administration, end-user applications and developer tools. Data captured gives enterprises the ability to better sense, analyse and act on what is happening at any time and at any second, to make the best possible decision always.

Zebra are well known within the industry as a company that empower the front line of businesses in retail/ecommerce, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, healthcare and various other sectors to achieve a performance edge. With over 10,000 partners stemming across 100 countries, Zebra aim to deliver superior service with industry-tailored, end-to-end solutions that intelligently connect people, assets and data.

Critical business decisions are in safe hands through market-leading solutions that elevate experience, track and manage inventory, and improve supply chain efficiency.

Manufacturers are continuing to strive for a lean, agile manufacturing plant, from warehouse to operations. By continuing to optimise efficiencies and providing workers with increased visibility and connectivity, Zebra remain one step ahead, effectively delivering results to businesses who can, in turn, deliver these results to customers.

Success for customers mean that it is mandatory to ensure real-time and accurate insight across operations; from the supply chain to the very outer edge of the frontline.

With over one million units of the new touch computers, build on Zebra’s highly-successful TC51/TC56, TC70x/TC75x and TC70/TC75 touch computer series, shipped over the past five years, the innovative devices showcase a proven platform of shared accessories and software on the common Android operating systems (OS).

David Krebs of VDC Research expressed: “As support for the Windows® Mobile/CE OS inches closer to ending, businesses must choose an alternative platform and mobile computing solution that will maximize workforce productivity and return on investment, Zebra’s new TC5x and TC7x touch computers supported by M-DNA, build on their existing industry-leading mobile computing solutions, providing customers and partners with reliable, durable and modern mobile solutions to support their front-line workforce.”

The new TC5x and TC7x touch computers offer four new enhancements to the M-DNA suite each designed to drive improved workforce productivity, security and connectivity. These enhancements include:

WorryFree Wi-Fi, which enhances Wi-Fi radio technology to support workforce productivity with superior network connectivity and fast roaming speed. Any issues are easily noted and resolved through a Wi-Fi analyser client app, which offers analysis and troubleshooting in real-time.

GMS Restricted Mode, which stands as an industry first enhancement for Zebra’s new StageNow app, offering IT administrators the ability to customize device access to Google Mobile Services (GMS), in a bid to improve work efficiency, security and privacy.

PowerPrecision Console, that enables IT administrators to use push notifications and be presented with a dashboard, indicating colour coded battery health and status across a fleet of devices, for easy removal of aged batteries and easy realisation of potential problems before their occurrence.

LifeGuard for Android, standing as Zebra’s extended security solution for customers holding a OneCare contract. This aims to deliver aggressive security patch updates that stretch well beyond customer support and offers a dashboard for extra visibility and control over device updates.

Vice President Product Management, Enterprise Mobile Computing at Zebra Technologies, Archana Kheta, regarded: “Zebra is a global leader in enterprise mobile computing solutions offering Android-based enterprise-class devices designed with front-line workers, workplaces and workflows in mind to give businesses a performance edge. The new TC5x and TC7x mobile touch computers are designed to enable customers to improve workforce productivity, increase staff collaboration and safeguard sensitive data and connections on a field proven device that has been successful for over a million customers.”

The ergonomic TC5x and TC7x touch computers are ideal for a variety of applications inside and outside the four walls involving inventory management, price/audit changes, click and collect, last mile delivery, DSD and route optimization.

The TC7x series’ ultra-rugged construction and drop-resistant features also further enable usage in warehouse and fleet management applications such as product picking/put-away, proof of delivery and pick up, electronic driver logging and track and trace.

The new TC5x and TC7x series are set to soon join the previously-certified TC25, TC51/56, and the TC70x/75x. The TC5x and TC7x are amongst the most advanced, rugged enterprise-class devices available and have been engineered specifically with the client in mind, increasing staff productivity and optimising operations.

Zebra Technologies are ranked on Forbes list of American Best Employers and have remained there for the last three years, an achievement representative of the company’s outstanding commitment to workforce efficiency.
