LDV Appoints New Dealer Development Manager

The LDV brand is well known, a British manufacturer originally founded in 1993, the company was disbanded in 2009, before being revived again as a brand in the UK and around the world in 2016. LDV is now manufactured by SAIC, which is the largest automotive company in China. The brand is also distributed by Harris Group.

LDV is a brand of commercial vehicles that have, since their relaunch, managed to meet all of the requirements of the modern 21st Century driver. As part of the plans to expand the company, Bill Laidlaw has been appointed as the Dealer Development Manager for LDV in the UK. The appointment will add more strength to the LDV senior Management team and will help the company to go from strength to strength since the relaunch.

Bill Laidlaw has over 30 years of experience working in the automotive industry and will be joining LDV from Bristol Street Motors. In his previous role, Bill worked as the Ford Commercial and Business Manager for the company in Stoke. Bill has also worked as the Sales Manager for New Commercial Vehicles at the Van Centre, which is located in Richmond.

Since its relaunch, LDV has generated a great level of demand. It is hoped that this success will continue, with an expansion of their LDV dealer network. The company has set a target to increase their dealer network to 60 over the course of the next two years. Bill has an in depth understanding of how the commercial vehicle industry operates and will be an asset to the company as they work to grow going forward. Bill’s knowledge and expertise will be beneficial to the dealers, for whom Bill will be a dedicated point of contact.

Bill’s has expressed his excitement to get to work in his new role and work with the network of dealers already established and new dealers in the future in order to grow LDV. All LDV dealers are looking to go the extra mile for their customers and ensure that the downtime of the vehicles supplied is kept to a minimum. The LDV network of dealers offer their customers round the clock care as well as a five-year warranty that means that they are guaranteed high quality commercial vehicles that offers great values for money.
