Cubis Systems introduce new Access Cover

Cubis Systems is one of the leading manufacturing companies in Europe creating bespoke access covers. The company works to manufacture and supply access covers to its Citadel range that meet the requirements of the Loss Prevention Certification Board Security Level 4. The manufacturer has introduced a new Upstand steel access cover for their Citadel range. This new access cover meets the Loss Prevention Certification Board, or LPCB, LPS 1175: Issue 7 for Level 4 security. This accreditation means that the product has withstood a range of attacks from different tools.

The new access cover has been manufactured from a minimum of 4mm thick structural steel plate that has then hot-dip galvanised in line with the BS EN ISO 1461 requirements. If desired a more superior galvanising finish can be added to the access cover in order to give a 100 to 140-micron zinc coating. This optional and additional coating is added for those looking for longevity when installing an access cover in aggressive environments.

This new access cover, produced by Cubis Systems will offer support to utility providers who are looking to meet the correct regulatory standards while also protecting national infrastructure. The protection of this national infrastructure from risk of contamination and vandalism is a core priority for governments and utility companies. In order to ensure that the right access cover is fitted to offer the desired level of protection is attained the site is assessed for risk before the access cover can be chosen. The upstand covers are more predominantly used as a cover solution for potable water, and because of this are generally installed on reservoirs, and in rural areas. The installation of an access cover is the best way to protect national infrastructure but also to demonstrate due diligence and compliance.

The use of a cover that has been third party tested and accredited is reassuring, offering the customer peace of mind that the money investing in the cover will not be wasted and the access cover will not fail.
