A Cambridgeshire-based maker of specialist wheels for agricultural tractors has been acquired in a management buyout (MBO) and secured a funding facility to support its growth.
Founded in 1977, Stocks AG is the UK’s largest manufacturer of specialist wheels for tractors and other machines used in the agricultural, horticultural and amenity sectors. The business also makes a range of small seed and granule applicators.
The management team was advised by Price Bailey Strategic Corporate Finance.
Director Dana Cooper, who led the MBO with funding support from Barclays, said: “We are delighted to have completed this transaction. The management team at Stocks has a strong understanding of our customers’ needs and the many strengths that exist within our business.
“With the support of Barclays, the MBO allows us to invest in developing our services even further.”
Price Bailey partner Simon Blake (pictured) added: “The deal represents a fantastic opportunity for the Stocks management team. We have great confidence in the business, which is well-positioned for future growth.”
