Auto Marine Cables, the UK’s leading supplier of low voltage cable to the automotive and marine sectors, have unveiled their new brand and visual identity as the Northwest based manufacturer looks to international markets for further expansion as well as consolidating growth in the UK.
The origins of the Manchester-based company, now branded as AMC, date back to 1964 with the opening of car accessory shop, Kar-Bar, in Bolton. With a clear vision to supply high quality products and deliver unrivalled customer service, the business grew exponentially – and hasn’t slowed down since, with cable now manufactured in state-of-the-art, purpose-built facilities in Worsley.
The vibrant new identity for the established brand follows more recent changes in the structure of the business, with a number of new appointments across senior management including Managing Director, Brent Collins, who joined the business in 2021 bringing over 20 years of experience across manufacturing, engineering, and aerospace sectors.
“The rebrand of our business is far more than a new name or logo….it is a real statement of our intent to grow what was already a successful business, through investment across our product range, our processes, and our people,” said Brent upon launching their new identity.
“Over the last few months, we have been on a journey of reflection looking at not only our visual identity, but also our values, our markets, and our vision. We wanted to simplify our brand offering, clarify our message, and of course build upon our heritage and trusted position in the market but with a real step change that we feel better communicates our flexibility, connectivity, and strength.”
“It was important that we also spent some time talking to our clients, asking them about their current challenges and opportunities and what success looks like for them to ensure that we continue to align our business strategy; our products and our services with exactly what they need. It has been an incredibly exciting process and we are delighted that the output of this work is a fresh look for AMC that filters throughout our business,” added Brent.
The company will also see further growth in its overseas markets this year as it looks to expand its reach, not least with their established OceanFlex brand of corrosion-resistant tinned cable which is already making waves globally. Suitable for use in marine, automotive, and other harsh environments, the AMC OceanFlex cables are also manufactured in the UK.
“It’s an incredibly exciting time for the company as we move through this transformation across all areas of the business. And, whilst we are immensely proud of our heritage, we refuse to stand still – innovating continually, and investing strategically in ways to improve operational efficiency; directly impacting customer expectations and satisfaction with our products and service,” commented Paul Cowley, Head of Engineering.
