Lumag Recently Become a Member of the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation

The friction materials manufacturing company, Lumag, has recently become a member of the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation, or IAAF. The manufacturer of friction materials and brake pads has joined the Federation, who have been working for a number of years to represent companies in the independant automotive sector, in particular, the parts companies within this sector. Lumag has become a member of the IAAF in order to influence the legislation which could have an impact on the business.

The IAAF have been in operation since the 1930, although then working as the Motor Factors operation. The Federation offers a range of different opportunities for the companies that become members including access to merchandising and promotional workwear, fleet management solutions and the most up to date industry information and opportunities for networking. These opportunities include IAAF golf and cricket events that are held around the country over the course of the year, and the annual conference and awards ceremony that is held in December.

It is important for Lumag to be involved in the changes in legislation which could have and affect on the company and the rest of the parts sector. Therefore the manufacturer has become a member of the IAAF in order to have an input on the changes that occur across the industry.

Lumag has worked to build a strong reputation for manufacturing and supplying commercial vehicle brake pads and passenger car brake pads. The company’s manufacture and sale of passenger vehicle brake pads are sold under the Breck brand name. The managing director of the company has said that the membership of the IAAF will be beneficial to the manufacturing company, as they will gain information in regards to legislation changes earlier as well as having the opportunity to have a voice on the legislation changes which take place. Colin Smith, the managing director of Lumag has said that the company is determined to support and help the IAAF whenever possible.
