Schaeffler releases new version of popular BEARINX software

Schaeffler releases new version of popular BEARINX software

Schaeffler, manufacturers of precision bearings, have released a new version of BEARINX, their popular bearing design calculation software.

Version ten of BEARINX has even more calculation tools for rolling bearings. It even has the option to take gearing into consideration. OptiKit is also included to allow all desired parameters to the fully optimised. Additionally the input dialogs have been rearranged in order to make the software easier to use and more options are available when it comes to bearing selection. TORB, the recently launched range of toroidal roller bearings are also in there.

The selection now also comes with the option to combine different rows of rolling elements in a single bearing at will. Those who wish to design asymmetrical double row bearings which also need to support high but varied axial loads in more than one direction should find this particularly useful.

The BEARINX software is provided to Schaeffler engineers around the world to design and configure bearings for complex systems and machines. There is also a customer version available for those that wish to design their own solutions. This allows the customer to have involvement in the initial stages of development by taking individual modules from the full version of the software. This customer version accesses a giant database containing a full catalogue of all Schaeffler’s bearings. Because each bearing’s full component data is stored this allows for much more accurate calculations when it comes to the rating life calculation.

The BEARINX-online Easy currently has more than twelve thousand registered users and is the most popular of the BEARINX products. All Schaeffler customers have to do is pay one initial up front free for their introduction to the program. Universities can access BEARINX online for free to use within their teaching programs. This six BEARINX modules included in this online software are: Easy Friction; Easy Linear; Easy Ballscrew; Easy RopeSheave; Easy Linear System; and Easy EMachine.
